RAWALPINDI MEDICAL COLLEGE

Collaboration is the process of two or more people or organizations working together to realize or achieve something successfully. Collaboration is very similar to, but more closely aligned than, cooperation, and both are an opposite of competition.
Without effective international collaboration, we would have limited access to breakthrough scientific knowledge generated by researchers in other countries; the quality of the scientific knowledge generated locally would decline and; our institutes would be unable to obtain innovative technological information and knowledge needed to maintain their competitive edge. The future of our health system depends on having a critical mass of health scientists with the international knowledge and intercultural skills necessary to meet globalization’s challenges.
Internationalization of higher education has become a priority for many universities. It provides them with educational models that can respond efficiently to current issues and challenges of globalization. International academic collaboration plays an important role in the creation of such models and prepares educational systems to act effectively in foreign environments.
